Children’s Day

“Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured as they are the
future of our nation and the citizens of tomorrow.”

Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru
Children’s Day is a day to celebrate the innocence of children and also to reinforce the idea that
they are the future of the nation; therefore, their correct upbringing in all spheres should be the
priority of society.
The occasion is celebrated with great warmth and zeal every year at Bal Bharati Public School, Kudgi.
This year being no exception started with a special assembly. The assembly started by paying
homage to our loving “Chacha Nehru” by the school Principal along with the class representatives of
classes (1-5). After highlighting the significance of the day, followed a skit showcasing students’
reaction in different classes; enacted beautifully by the teachers. Students were elated to see
themselves on the stage.
The assembly continued with a song and a “Qawwali” by the teachers. The school Principal
addressed the children and made them realised that all of them were unique, smart and true Indian.
Children’s excitement reached its peak when they were invited to play different games such as
balancing the book, blasting the balloon, bombing the blast etc.
The entire campus was buzzing with laughter, excitement and joy. The celebrations came to an end
with the distribution of chocolates to the kids as a token of love by the school. The children went
back home wearing a smile on their faces.
